Liberty Tree Planting

New Milford begins its celebration of 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by planting an American Elm tree on the grounds of Borough Hall. The event is inspired by how the Liberty Tree at the Boston Common became a rallying spot for Patriots and falls on the 101st anniversary of Paul Revere’s Ride. The Tri-County Irish Pipe War Band will perform patriot tunes.
